One of the primary reasons we build with Insulated Concrete Form construction is for its energy efficiency. Because the walls are uniformly insulated with a solid sheet of foam inside and out, there are no channels for air to seep through. You will not find hot and cold spots on an ICF wall. In stick-built construction, your effective R-value is greatly diminished by air infiltration and heat transfer along wooden studs and around outlets and other wall penetrations where the fiberglass insulation does not fill the area completely. The amount of concrete used in the structure gives the home high thermal mass. This means that is holds temperature very well. Heat it up, and it stays warm – you don’t lose heat to the surroundings. Fill the house with cool night air in the summer and close it up during the day, and it stays cool. Windows at the east and west ends of the home allow us to take advantage of airflow to flush warm air out of the home.
Homes built with ICF walls require about 44% less energy to heat and 32% less energy to cool than a comparable wood-frame house.
All of our new construction and remodel homes are insulated with the best Envirofoam of America spray foam insulation. Dan Wallace is the CEO of Envirofoam of America and started the company over 20 years ago. Since then Envirofoam has developed its own Spray foam Insulation line and distribute Spray foam materials all accross the United States along with PMC spray foam equipment. Envirofoam Builds new Spray foam rigs and trains new installers.

Each kilowatt-hour (kWh) of solar that is generated will substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions like CO2, as well as other dangerous pollutants such as sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter. Solar also reduces water consumption and withdrawal.
Radiant heating has a number of advantages. It is more efficient than baseboard heating and usually more efficient than forced-air heating because it eliminates duct losses. People with allergies often prefer radiant heat because it doesn’t distribute allergens like forced air systems can. Hydronic (liquid-based) systems use little electricity, a benefit for homes off the power grid or in areas with high electricity prices. Hydronic systems can use a wide variety of energy sources to heat the liquid, including standard gas- or oil-fired boilers, wood-fired boilers, solar water heaters, or a combination of these sources.
